Puddles to Pride CD, and other resources on children with developmental disabilities by Janice Fialka, MSU, ACSW and MIAIMH member

Over the last decade, Janice Fialka, MSW, ACSW has written honestly and poignantly about her experiences as a mother of a child with developmental disabilities. Her words seem to break through to the heart and soul of what is really important for both parents and professionals. Her poem, Advice to Professionals who Must Conference Cases has been widely published in textbooks, newsletters, journals, and often found posted on refrigerators of families and bulletin boards of school and agency personnel.
On her new CD, From Puddles to Pride, Janice has taken a new leap and recorded this poem and two others from her book, It Matters: Lessons From My Son . This CD is a marvelous new way to share Janice's poems at meetings, workshops, or for personal reflection.  She reads each poem, accompanied by original and soothing piano music and stunning visuals that enhance her words and message.  Mary Beth Doyle, PhD, Professor at St. Michael's College in Vermont says, "This CD is simply beautiful.  I have always enjoyed your writing but with this slide show too, it is over the top."
For more information about the CD and to read more about Janice's publications and national training, The Dance of Partnership:  Why do my feet hurt? visit her web site at:  www.danceofpartnership.com
